Luxembourg & Dayan has presented a strong historical survey of the work of César Baldaccini, an important French artist and founding member of the Nouveaux Réalistes group. The Luxembourg & Dayan show is the first US solo exhibition devoted to César in more than 50 years. The exhibition includes sculpture from César's Human Imprint, Compression and Expansion series, among other works, and is notable for its striking yet seemingly effortless experimentation with material, technology, form and color. The show closes January 18th, 2014.
